Fat Freezing

Fat Freezing / Coolsculpting / Cryosculpting

Fat Freezing is a non-invasive fat reduction procedure designed to target and eliminate stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.

Using controlled cooling technology, fat cells are safely frozen and naturally processed by the body over time, resulting in a more contoured and sculpted appearance.

With no surgery or downtime, it is an effective treatment for long-term body shaping and refinement.

The Technology

Fat Freezing is a clinically validated, non‑invasive fat‑reduction technology that uses controlled cooling to selectively destroy fat cells.

What Fat Freezing Targets

Fat Freezing is designed to reduce localised fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise, including:

  • Abdomen fat

  • Love handles (flanks)

  • Lower belly (“pooch”)

  • Inner thighs

  • Outer thighs (“saddlebags”)

  • Upper arms

  • Back fat & bra bulge

  • Double chin (submental fat)

It is ideal for individuals close to their target weight who want to refine body contours and
reduce stubborn pockets of fat in specific areas.

How the Procedure Works
1. The Process

  • The applicator cools the fat layer to a precise temperature where fat cells crystallise and undergo apoptosis (programmed cell death).

  • Over the following weeks, the body naturally eliminates these damaged fat cells through the lymphatic system.

  • Surrounding tissues remain unaffected due to their higher cold‑tolerance.

2. Scientific Evidence

  • Clinical studies consistently show 20–30% fat reduction in treated areas after a single session.

  • Ultrasound, caliper measurements, and 3D imaging confirm measurable reductions in fat thickness.

  • Research demonstrates high patient satisfaction and a strong safety profile with minimal downtime.

3. Emerging Research

“Simultaneous muscle stimulation and adipose tissue reduction leads to significant improvements in body contour
and muscle tone.”
 – BTL

What results to expect & how long does it take?

Fat Freezing delivers gradual, natural‑looking fat reduction in the treated area:

Fat Reduction

  • Up to 20–30% reduction in fat thickness per session

  • Visible smoothing and contouring as the body eliminates frozen fat cells

Timeline

  • Early changes: 3–4 weeks

  • Peak results: 8–12 weeks

  • Fat cells destroyed during treatment are permanently removed through the lymphatic system

  • Additional sessions can further enhance results

Number of Sessions

  • Most clients need 1–2 sessions per area

  • Larger or more resistant areas may require additional treatments

Who is the ideal candidate?

Cryolipolysis is ideal for clients who want targeted fat reduction without surgery.

Ideal for:

  • Individuals close to their ideal weight with localised fat pockets

  • Clients wanting to contour the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, or chin

  • Those who prefer a non‑invasive alternative to liposuction

  • Clients who want gradual, natural‑looking results

Not suitable for:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Hernias in the treatment area

  • Severe cold‑related conditions (e.g., cryoglobulinemia)

  • Excessively loose skin (other treatments may be more appropriate)

Before & After Care

Before Your Session

  • Stay well‑hydrated for 24 hours before

  • Avoid heavy meals immediately before treatment

  • Wear comfortable clothing

  • Do not apply oils or lotions to the treatment area

  • If treating the abdomen, avoid tight waistbands on the day

On the Day

  • You may feel intense cold and suction for the first few minutes

  • The area becomes numb and comfortable shortly after

  • You can relax, read, or use your phone during the session

Aftercare

  • No downtime — resume normal activities immediately

  • Mild redness, numbness, tingling, or swelling is normal and temporary

  • Gentle massage of the area can support lymphatic drainage

  • Continue hydrating to support the body’s natural elimination process
